Register now for August CCSS Writing Workshops

Two outstanding writing trainings for grade 4-8 teachers will take place in early August:

• Argument Writing in the Age of the Common Core: Teach Writers to Craft Powerful Text-based Arguments
• Teaching Writing in the Age of the Common Core: Teach Writing Workshop with Renewed Resolve, Tools, & Lessons

These two courses, offered through Portland State University and Literacy Education Services, will provide hands-on, practical, and classroom-ready strategies to boost student achievement in writing. (optional: 1 graduate credit for each course)

The instructor is Lanny Ball, former teacher and instructional coach in the Gresham-Barlow SD and consultant with Lucy Calkin's Teachers College Reading Project at Columbia University.
