Using Technology in the Classroom
Technology is at once our best friend and our worst enemy. We love it when it works but want to pull out our hair when it doesn’t. Yet I keep coming back to it, knowing that there’s more promise than frustration. With that in mind, I want to share two quick videos on how I’ve embraced technology:
Using Texting to Assess Learning I get tired of having to say, “Put your cell phones away.” So, some days I don’t. Instead, I invite students to use their phone to give me real-time feedback about our learning. Google Docs in the Classroom Using technology to foster collaboration hits one of the Common Core standards, and also creates a platform for students to learn how to work with each other in online communities. | |||||||||||||
