Dyslexia Friendly Classrooms:

Safety, Structure and Support

Successful classrooms are inclusive classrooms, but what does that look like in practice? This presentation will focus on the ways traditional classroom settings can be truly “dyslexia friendly.” Drawing from her years of classroom experience, Emily will discuss overall guiding principles to bear in mind when designing an inclusive classroom environment. Emily will also share her tips and thoughts for parents and kids for how to successfully collaborate with teachers and specialists in order to ensure success in every learning environment.

So Many Ways to Be SMART run by PDX Reading Specialist staff.
For 7-12th graders -
Kids Empowerment Group by ORBIDA student panel & board members.

Teachers - Earn 2 Professional Development Units for $20. Make checks payable to Lewis and Clark College. No additional paperwork necessary - certificates will be distributed at event.
