Dear ELSTEM Community Members,
We are currently accepting applications for next ELSTEM inservice cohort (Cohort #4). The application deadline is April 15th, 2015. The next inservice cohort will start on June 22nd, 2015.
Our ELSTEM program offers a specialized ESOL professional development opportunity for secondary STEM teachers in our partner school districts. The most recent program evaluation performed by the Education Northwest, our external evaluator for this grant program, has noted that our program participants and completers have significantly improved their STEM teaching practice for English learners.
100% of the tuition is paid through the NPD federal grant, and $1000 stipend is awarded to those who successfully complete the ELSTEM program and pass the NES ESOL test.
