Join our new west-side group in Tigard!

You are invited to attend:

Dyslexia 101

Wednesday, July 22, from 7 - 9 PM

Presented by Barb Steinberg M.Ed., PDX Reading Specialist, LLC
Dyslexia 101 is an informative, enlightening and inspiring workshop in which participants will leave with a clear understanding of the neurological basis of dyslexia.  Scientific and peer reviewed research has shown that the brains of those with dyslexia show functional variations, and that these variations explain why some individuals—dyslexics—struggle to master reading, writing, spelling and occasionally math, despite their intelligence and effort.  After this workshop attendees will be able to recognize the most common early warning signs and chronic symptoms of dyslexia.  Dyslexia represents the most common and most prevalent of all known learning disabilities and impacts approximately 1 in 5 individuals (National Institute of Health). If you are a parent of a struggling learner or are responsible for the education of these amazing children, this is a workshop you don’t want to miss!
