Mythos Challenge 2016: A Unique Youth‐Led Storytelling and Game Experience

Youth in grades K‐12 are invited to create a digital interactive story, game, or mobile app inspired by the Portland Art Museum’s special exhibition Case Work: Studies in Form, Space & Construction by Allied Works Architecture. Finalists creations are eligible for monetary awards and will be displayed at the Portland Art Museum.
The Mythos Challenge offers easy ways to bring project based learning into your class. Materials are
age‐appropriate and include activities and resources for connecting classrooms to family and community.

Between February and April 2016, Pixel Arts Game Education will lead 3 online workshops in the free and easy‐to‐use Twine and Scratch digital storytelling and gaming platforms. Twine and Scratch stretch youth awareness of, and engagement with, the world around them and introduces the building blocks of creative design and computational thinking.
