Looking for K-5 Science Teacher Leaders!





The PPS STEAM Team 
is looking for K-5 teachers from each elementary to become a science specialist for their school.  

This will be come our K-5 Science Leadership Cadre.  We will provide training on the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) so that these teachers can become leaders in their schools to help with implementation of the NGSS.  We are looking for nominations from teachers!  Much support and development of teacher content knowledge will be a big part of this work.

The Flying Classroom: coming next fall!


The Flying Classroom is a cutting-edge, global, STEM+ learning adventure. It is a Digital Learning Tool designed to help students excel in Math, Science, Reading, and other core subject areas aligned to academic benchmarks for grades K-8. The curriculum serves as an intervention and enrichment tool. The Flying Classroom is aligned to the National Common Core Standards and Next Generation Science Standards.

Powered by state-of-the-art technologies, The Flying Classroom will utilize a Beechcraft 400XPR airplane to travel to 11 countries, spanning 3 continents. An electronic portal originating on board the plane will promote learning anytime, anywhere, from a broad range of mobile devices.
